Chad Smart, Co-Founder and Director of Sales, was born and raised with an entrepreneurial mind set. After serving in the U.S. Navy and spending many years working in finance, it was time for him to have his real estate dreams come to fruition. He moved himself and his family to the surrounding Charlotte, N.C. area, to team up with his brother in building a rental property business. Within four years, this family team dedicated all their time to purchasing, completely repairing, renovating, and renting out eight-single family homes. At the same time, he also worked a full-time job in finance and head of commercial real estate, at a Fortune 500 company.
After an underwhelming search for a property management company for his own rental properties, he realized that there was no one better to manage these properties than the same family team has been working with for years. He knew each member could bring their own skills and abilities to the table to ensure a reliable and customer-centric property management company. With that, PMI Charlotte Metro was born. Chad’s extensive experience and entrepreneurial tenacity makes him an integral part of the PMI Charlotte Metro team.
Chip Smart, Co-Founder and Director of Maintenance has over 15 years of experience as a project manager and maintenance coordinator. During those years he has developed expertise on building codes, construction safety, and best building practices specifically for rental properties. He has also created and fostered great working relationships with vendors you can trust. Chip brings to your property, the same focus on detail that he expects for his own properties. Using all this knowledge and experience, he will ensure that your property is maintained in the most efficient way possible to maximize your investment.
Samantha Smart, Co-Founder and Director of Operations, has spent years of her life dedicated to helping others as a Registered Nurse. As a nurse she has been there for her patients’ every single need, and she will have the same dedication to our customers at PMI Charlotte Metro. During her time as a nurse, she has also perfected her communication and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate these skills in high-stress, fast-paced environments. Samantha can have tough conversations in a caring and diplomatic manner. These abilities paired with Sam’s eagerness to succeed make her the perfect person to help you with every need to make your business successful.
